The Borski Fund was founded in 2019. The fund focuses on female entrepreneurs and businesses that target women and women’s health (femtech). This will help diversify the business landscape in the Netherlands and create a more equal situation with more women in top positions.
Objective
The Borski Fund believes in diversity, gender equality and equal opportunities. We thus encourage greater diversity in companies, more women in risk-bearing enterprises and more women prepared to take risks in investments. Who is it for
The fund focuses on female entrepreneurs and businesses that target women. For each participation of the Borski Fund financing. there is at least one woman on the management team who is a shareholder in the business. Companies that have an initial turnover and traction fall within the investment criteria of Borski Fund.
Instruments
The fund issues its own and borrowed capital in the form of seed capital, start-up and expansion capital. This is done with shares and convertible and subordinated loans.
Ticket size
From € 250.000 to a maximum of € 3.000.000.
Founding date
The Borski Fund was founded in 2019 as a partnership between The Next Women and StartGreen Capital. The largest investors in the fund are ING, Rabobank and ABN AMRO. Further, Van Lanschot Bankiers, a few family offices and informals also invest in the Borski Fund.
The Next Women Crowd Fund is the predecessor of the Borski Fund. StartGreen Capital and The Next Women are joint founding partners of the Borski Fund.

Borksi Fund participations primarily bring us closer to achieving SDG 5: Gender Equality and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.

Criteria
The Borski Fund offers venture capital and growth capital to ambitious companies that have at least one female founder/entrepreneur.
