Soft Revolt, a sustainable lingerie brand from Amsterdam, has secured more than 1 million euros in financing, with a significant contribution from the Borski Fund. The company will use the money to improve the sustainability of Soft Revolt's bras, expand its team and support even more women in Europe.
Soft Revolt was founded in 2020 by Elles Roeleveld and Kim Bakker. The lingerie brand creates stylish, thread-free and seamless bralettes with a sustainable twist. By combining innovative yarns with different stitches and machine tensions, their bras provide the support women need without any discomfort. They are also kind to both the skin and the climate. Since launching the first bralette in 2020, Soft Revolt has supported 20,000 women in 17 countries.
Round of 1 million
Borski Fund and an angel investor contributed almost €800,000, while a previous crowdfunding campaign added €300,000. This brings this financing round to more than 1 million euros. Soft Revolt will use the money to further reduce the environmental footprint of its sustainable bras.
Even more sustainable
The brand's bralettes, which are made in one piece using a patented 3D knitting technique, already have minimal production residue. With this financing, Soft Revolt wants to further reduce the environmental impact of its sustainable bras. With emissions of only 2 kg of CO2 per product (verified by tex.tracer), the brand wants to market the world's most sustainable bra.
Simone Brummelhuis, partner and fund director Borski Fund:
'Soft Revolt is redefining the future of lingerie with their innovative 3D knitted bra. The power of technology, the promise of sustainability and the passion of female entrepreneurship come together in this innovative company.'
