Borski Fund is proud to announce that M&G Investments has invested over €9 million in the fund. With the largest LP investment to date, Borski Fund reaches its hard cap and grows to a total fund size of €50 million. The entry of M&G Investments underlines the growing interest of international institutional investors in the value of inclusivity and impact-driven entrepreneurship.

More capital to promote diversity in venture capital.

Borski Fund invests in innovative technology companies with diverse founding teams, with a specific focus on companies led by women. The investment by M&G Investments strengthens Borski Fund in pursuing its mission: creating a more equal financing landscape and harnessing the untapped potential of female entrepreneurs.

Simone Brummelhuis, Founding Partner Borski Fund:

“Only one percent of venture capital is invested in teams led by women, while a staggering 94 percent goes to teams led by men, despite research consistently showing that diverse teams are more innovative and perform better. M&G now joins our esteemed group of limited partners, all of whom are committed to supporting and advancing Borski’s mission of empowering exceptional female founders and their startups.”

A powerful step in the growth strategy.

Since its inception, the fund has invested in promising technology companies with female founders and mixed teams. These include Soft Revolt, a lingerie brand that pushes boundaries; VivArt-X, a pioneer in biomaterials for personalized breast reconstruction and regeneration; and CarbonX, which offers a sustainable, cost-efficient alternative to graphite in the production of batteries for electric vehicles. With the expansion of the fund, Borski Fund can further grow its portfolio and support even more entrepreneurs in realizing breakthrough innovations.

“This is one of the largest investments in the history of Borski Fund. More importantly, it is a strong endorsement of one of the most leading and successful international savings and investment companies,” says a proud Simone Brummelhuis.

Alex Seddon, Head of Private Equity and Impact at M&G Investments:

“We are pleased to announce our involvement with Borski Fund, an impactful company that is taking bold steps to address the critical funding gap facing women-led businesses. As with our recent contributions to Bethnal Green Ventures and Pact, two other women-led funds in Europe, our investment in Borski Fund reaffirms our commitment to playing our part in building a more inclusive society.”
