Two top women StartGreen in the Top 50 WIFS

This year, two top women from StartGreen are in the Top 50 Women in Sustainable Finance (WIFS): Anouk Blum-den Heijer and Simone Brummelhuis. They take over from our Co-founder and Managing Partner Laura Rooseboom.

In the spotlight

Yesterday, the WIFS jury, consisting of leading professionals from the financial sector, announced which 50 women from the nominees they will put in the spotlight this year. The Top 50 Women in Sustainable Finance highlights female leaders in the Netherlands who are committed to sustainability within the financial sector. The list was compiled for the 4th year, on the initiative of WIFS.

Focus professional jury

Nominees of the Top 50 are committed to more sustainability in the financial sector and have demonstrable visibility and impact on this topic. This edition, the professional jury – consisting of Marguerite Soeteman-Reijnen (chair), Cindy van Oorschot, Nicolette Loonen, Faisal Setoe, Stephan Veen and Rinke Zonneveld – attaches particular value to candidates who work pragmatically on financial solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation, nature conservation and restoration, and human rights.

Demonstrable impact

Anouk and Simone work daily for a more sustainable future. As Managing Partner of StartGreen and General Manager of Energiefonds Overijssel, contributes to the energy transition and a circular economy. Simone works as a Partner and Co-founder of Borski Fund working hard to close the investment gap by financing and encouraging innovative female and diverse entrepreneurs.
