What are your responsibilities?
As an Investment Associate you work for the various funds of StartGreen, you independently manage portfolios and you support with credit and investment applications from entrepreneurs who want to make the Netherlands more sustainable.

What are you going to do?
As an Investment Associate:

  • you work together with the deal team to develop financing proposals into recommendations for the investment committee;
  • you take care of the export and closing of transactions, including the contract for the customer;
  • you keep a close eye on the developments of the energy projects in your portfolio;
  • you report correctly and completely to internal and external stakeholders on the status of financing provided and the development of the portfolio;
  • you coordinate marketing communications and follow-up sales opportunities for financing within the team;
  • you contribute to the growth of new customers;
  • you are strong in maintaining and expanding the network with existing and new relations, and you are able to represent the fund well;
  • follow technology, industry and market trends for new investments as well as for the existing portfolio.

Who are we looking for?
You have:

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable relevant experience in the financial sector. Experience with project financing is a plus;
  • affinity with the energy transition and circular economy in a broad sense and specifically with (the financing of) local energy initiatives;
  • knowledge of (sustainable energy) project financing, knowledge of SDE and SCE subsidies is a plus;
  • well-developed analytical skills and commercial acumen;
  • a completed education in Business Administration, (Business) Economics, Law or a technical study supplemented with financial experience;
  • a conceptual thinking ability;
  • excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (both oral and written).

driven Investment Associate/Manager (32-40 hours per week)

What are your responsibilities?
As an Investment Associate/Manager you initially work for Energiefonds Overijssel (EFO), a fund that StartGreen manages. Within EFO, the support of Local Energy Initiatives is an important point of attention. EFO provides for this through the (development) financing instrument introduced in 2020, the LEI-F, active in Overijssel. Your main responsibilities are: structural representation of the LEI-F in Overijssel (through acquisition, investments and portfolio management) and helping to embed the financing of local energy initiatives – from other funds managed by StartGreen – nationwide.

What are you going to do?

As an Investment Associate/Manager:

  • you make market analyzes and design your acquisition plans for local (cooperative) initiatives;
  • you work together with the deal team to develop investment proposals into recommendations for the investment committee;
  • you take care of the execution and closing of transactions, including the contract phase towards the customer;
  • you accurately carry out the (project) administration and you keep a close eye on the developments of the energy projects;
  • you report correctly and completely to internal and external stakeholders on the status of financing provided and the development of the portfolio;
  • you coordinate the marketing and follow-up sales opportunities for senior loans and/or equity within the team;
  • you contribute to the growth of new customers for both (development) financing from EFO and also from the other funds managed by StartGreen;
  • you are strong in maintaining and expanding the network with existing and new relations, and you are able to represent the fund well;
  • follow technology, industry and market trends for new investments as well as for the existing portfolio.

Who are we looking for?
You have:

During your internship you will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the different facets of a fast-growing company in a young sector.
